Where should I live and work?

I am 26 years old. Female. I am relocating to Seattle, WA to seek a restaurant position in preferably a Japanese good restaurant. I don't have a car and would have to walk or take public transportation. I also have a medium size dog. I would need to be close to grocery stores (target and whole foods), a good dog groomer, and pet store. I was interested in Belltown. But what would be the best area for me to live in? I am looking to spend between $900-$1100. Thank you for your help!

Belltown I would not really suggest, I lived there for a year and the crime and loud clubs really decrease the value of the area. However, it does have a beautiful dog park and a few cool coffee shops.

For you I would suggest Queen Anne or Capitol Hill. For 900-1100 you could get a real nice and cute apartment studio (possibly 1bd) in both of these locations. Queen Anne has several Grocery stores, including Trader Joes and a Whole Foods within driving distance (on Interbay) along with several farmers markets. Queen Anne is a pet friendly neighborhood too, with lots of little pet stores

embracethedawn Thank you, amandacares22. I really appreciate your insight. You were right about Belltown. I actually found an apartment in Northgate. I'm a little worried that working 2 jobs downtown seattle and having to go back home in between during my break to let my dog out will be an issue. If you have you any insight about travelling from northgate to downtown and versus in regards to my dog situation. I would grateful appreciate it. Thank you once again.
