What kind of pests are prevalent in North Beach/Blue Ridge?

My wife and I are considering moving to the North Beach area, a little east of Carkeek Park. Weve lived in Edmonds and Magnolia, and large house spiders have been a constant issue. Does anyone have a sense if North Beach is better or worse than other neighborhoods in Seattle for pests?
