Where do I belong?

Hello locals! I'm a 30 year old professional looking to relocate from the northeast to a great Seattle neighborhood. I'd like to be within walking/biking distance of a trendy'ish area with plenty to do - good restaurants, museums, art, shopping, parks, pubs, etc. Working at UWMC and would prefer a short (<25 min) commute. What do we think about Capital Hill? Thanks in advance!

If you are working at UW, the Wallingford neighborhood might be closer. Capital hill does have a lot to do but it is very young (ie 18 to 25 year olds). Wallingford has a lot more professionals along with good restaurants and is really close to Fremont and Ballard which are also super great neighborhoods. Plus, if you can live on the same side of the water as where you work that will really cut down your commute. Bridges are the worst part of Seattle traffic!
