"Street with a big hill"

Ramsell Street is a short two block street in the Merced Heights district. The street starts at Sargent Street at the Jose Ortego Elementary School. The street goes down a very big hill all the way down to its own small dead end. The Ocean View Library is also located on this street (cross with Randolph Street). There adequate transportation with the MUNI train stops on the cross with Randolph Street. There are just houses on this street with nothing special particular. There are some small stores and a church around the street. There is also a small park behind the elementary school.

"Not a good place for the under 50 crowd"

I had friends who lived here and had a terrible time with their elderly neighbors. Their experience (and mine when I visited them) was that the neighbors were all in their 60s and 70s and got very upset when new people came into the neighborhood. My friends were given a hard time from the day they moved in – questioned when they put out a pumpkin for Halloween and admonished repeatedly that they should not display their Christmas lights past 9 PM. I also experienced problems with various neighbors when I would park my car on the street during the weekend. I got several rude notes on my windshield, even though I was legally parked. However, the neighborhood is quiet and safe, which is always nice.
