If you're a student going to Oglethorpe University or the Brookhaven area campus of George State University, then Hermance Drive is the perfect place to find a home or apartment. Running adjacent to Oglethorpe's main campus, Hermance Drive offers a number of apartment complexes that are perfect for students or faculty members. If you go a little farther up Hermance, you will find some larger townhomes and single-family houses, which are in adjoining neighborhoods. The street has some traffic, since it is a way to get into some of the newer communities that are being constructed, but it is well maintained and accessible to shopping and transportation. Atlanta's MARTA system has a Brookhaven station that is close by and can get you downtown in less than 30 minutes.
