"Apartment Living and Close to Everything"

The area of Gold Coast specifically that is considered its own little neighborhood is admittedly small. It's really just one apartment building in the area that is actually part of Gold Coast specifically. The biggest draw to this area however is that it really is close to everything!

There is a lot of rich history to Gold Coast and you can see that when you come here. It is located just off of Jefferson and is an excellent waterfront part of town. You have great access and views of the water, are close to much of the amenities in the downtown area since it's just off of Jefferson, and you're even close to some great parks.

You are also close to a very desirable part of town such as Indian Village and that's what makes this so closely associated with a neighborhood such as that. There may not be much to this neighborhood on its own in terms of living options, but what you do find is top notch.

You will never be far from anything, never be at a loss for something to do, and you will love the view of the water that you have here. It continues to grow and is therefore a great spot within town. Perhaps more housing options could be added, but otherwise it's a nice littles spot within town.
  • A Nice Apartment Building
  • Near Jefferson and Downtown Detroit
  • Right off of the Detroit River
  • Could Use More Housing Options
  • Nothing much here except an apartment complex

"Can you even call this a neighborhood?"

Most of the time this neighborhood isn't even counted by itself. It's usually included whenever the discussion is about the neighboring Joseph Barry Subdivision right of the water near Jefferson. Because honestly it's not much of a neighborhood at all here.

There is this big complex of about three buildings that sort of look like an apartment complex, but I can't be sure as I have never went down there, but other than that, nothing. A couple of wide open park space that doesn’t have much to them is pretty much it. Like I said it's weird that this is even a neighborhood. One plus is that when you are at the parks you can see yachts on the water.
This is an East Jefferson neighborhood, so it's only a few miles from the heart of Downtown Detroit. As far as locally, buses do run up and down Jefferson for those who need public transportation. And there are a few retails outlets up and down Jefferson for light shopping.

Other than the parks, and the water, what more can you say about this place? You can see across the water to Belle Isle, but you could just as easily ride down the bridge and go directly to Belle Isle instead
