"Typical Excelsior Thoroughfare"
Russia Ave is one of the many "country" streets in the Excelsior district. It's one street over from Persia Street but doesn't have the beautiful trees that Persia does. It borders a nice playground (Excelsior Playground). There are stop signs at nearly every intersection so the traffic is very slow but there is quite a bit of back and forth traffic between Mission Street and the interior of the neighborhood. It's relatively flat compared to France Ave, which is the next street south so it's easier for walking and biking. There are several bus lines that cross Russia.
