"where you'll find most of the services in Monterey"

Lighthouse Ave is not the prettiest street in Monterey but by far it is the best equipped with shops and services for the newcomer. It is where you find the laundry and Goodwill as well as bookshops, second hand shops, sports equipment, drugstores and doctors. It has also major fast food chains including KFC and Carl's Junior as well as a big food store, Nob Hill. It is very close to Monterey Aquarium and recreational trail.
