"Cute street for dinning out and shoping in antic stores"
Alvarado St is the liveliest street in Monterey. It is full of restaurants, bars, coffe shops and cute little antic shops selling everything from vintage clothes, good wine to used books. Once a week, every Tuesday, it hosts the farmer's market where you can try foods from all over the world. It is very picturesque and leeds you straight to the fisherman's wharf where you can buy souvenirs and enjoy splendid views of the Monterey Bay. If you go there don't miss Plumes - my favourite coffe shop.
