"Perfect place to stay a night when in SF"

Taylor St is at the heart of San Francisco. If you’re planning to visit museums, galleries or go shopping go to Taylor St. It is a safe and quiet street with some good and inexpensive hotels, like Mark Twain, that offer a good night’s sleep and a superb English breakfast tailored to the most health conscious visitors. However, if you are driving, do not leave the car with the hotel service, leave it in the public parking that is on the other side of the street. I kwft mmine with the hotel staff and had to wait for more than 2 hours for them to bring it back to me when I checked out.

"Close to everything"

O'Farrell in San Francisco is located centrally, close to everything. It is steps away from Union Square and Market St where all the nice shops are. If you in the area and you are a fan of good inexpensive food and happen to like Japanese cuisine look no more, you are at the right place. In O’Farrell you'll find Dojima-ann, a Japanese restaurant that is always full of locals, you need to wait in line to get in. But once you're in you'll get superb food and very friendly and unpretentious service.

"A place to go when in Pacific Grove"

Lighthouse Ave extends from Monterey to Pacific Grove, however the Pacific Grove end of the street is much pleasant and attractive to go dinning and strolling around. It has some of the best restaurant and antic shops in Pacific Grove. One you’re there don’t forget to try Pacific Thai cuisine – the favorite of locals. Make sure to book because it is always full.

"The best Inns are in Munras Ave"

If you're coming to Monterey and want to stay at a nice and relatively inexpensive place then go to Munras Ave. Coming from the south on your left there are many inns to choose from. The street is quiet and very close to town (walking distance). To your left is Del Monte shopping Center - by far the nicest in the area. You can do your shopping there. If you walk further down towards the ocean you'll get to Abrego St where you'll find one of the nicest restaurant in town, Ambrosia, the Indian bistro.

"where you'll find most of the services in Monterey"

Lighthouse Ave is not the prettiest street in Monterey but by far it is the best equipped with shops and services for the newcomer. It is where you find the laundry and Goodwill as well as bookshops, second hand shops, sports equipment, drugstores and doctors. It has also major fast food chains including KFC and Carl's Junior as well as a big food store, Nob Hill. It is very close to Monterey Aquarium and recreational trail.

"Contains a jewel in disguise"

Abrego St may not be the most famous street and few may even mention it but it has one of the best restaurant in Monterey. The Indian food bistro, Ambrosia, is on this street. It is hidden behind big metallic doors, keep your eye on the Indian flag that adorns the entrance. Once you're in you're about to discover a real jewel of an Indian cuisine, I'm sure you'll keep coming back to this place over and over again.

"Street with great views of the Pacific"

Ocean View Boulevard is one of the most picturesque streets in Monterey. On one side there are beautiful unique houses each designed in a different way and on the other side the magnificent Pacific Ocean. The street is lined by the recreational trail by the side of the many small beaches that are popular with seals and sea otters. The street ends at the Lover’s Point, a popular spot to have a picnic and to watch the surfers.

"Don't Miss Cannery Row when in Monterey"

Cannery Row is a cute little street right by the ocean, made famous by John Steinbeck novel of the same name where he writes about people working in sardine fisheries during the great depression. Today, these sardine fisheries are all transformed into shops, restaurants and bars that attract many tourists and residents alike. A very nice hotel has been opened recently, the InterContinental The Clement Monterey, where they serve delicious food right on the terrace overlooking the beautiful Pacific. When in Cannery Row don’t miss the magical Monterey Bay Aquarium.

"Great place for students who study in Monterey Institute"

Van Buren St is popular with MIIS students, it is lively during the day due to many students attending classes in Monterey Institute of International Studies. Sometimes it gets loud especially in the weekends when students organize parties and barbeques. It is close to the main street and major bars and restaurants as well as a nice little corner shop called Troia’s Market where you can buy just about anything you need.

"Cute street for dinning out and shoping in antic stores"

Alvarado St is the liveliest street in Monterey. It is full of restaurants, bars, coffe shops and cute little antic shops selling everything from vintage clothes, good wine to used books. Once a week, every Tuesday, it hosts the farmer's market where you can try foods from all over the world. It is very picturesque and leeds you straight to the fisherman's wharf where you can buy souvenirs and enjoy splendid views of the Monterey Bay. If you go there don't miss Plumes - my favourite coffe shop.
