Which did you like better -- the "old" Elitch Gardens, or the new one downtown? Why?

Personally, I don't think anything can replace the history and charm of the original location. But tell me what you think!

The old one! It's not even a close comparison for me. The old one started as gardens and throughout the years they kept them up with those lovely fountains, especially the one that was near the building with the games in it, over by the old theater. I really miss it and thought it was a bizarre idea to move it downtown with the rest of the attractions (too crowded for my taste). Since it's moved I've been there several times with my kids but it just doesn't have the charm it once had. I can't remember where, but I recently saw an old photo of the main entrance to the old one. Boy, did it bring back some memories! It was a sad loss for Denver, in my opinion.

Hands down the "old" Elitches was the best. The charm and history of the place was unique. It had a great flow to it. The new one just seems too difficult to get around and doesn't have the same family charm as the old one.

Absolutely, the old Elitches. The old Elitches had a charm that is hard to capture in an amusement park development. Although, I will add this note: the (chewing) gum tree was really, really icky.

I had to laugh Brenda, I completely forgot about that! You're right, ewww, but on a positive note, it was colorful. :)

The New one. The old Elitches reminds me of Lakeside. Don't go there. Dirty, terrible security and I had my FULL tank of gas syphoned summer of 2012. I'll never go back.
