LoHi and the Highlands are definitely worth checking out. They're just across I-25 from downtown, but there's a walking bridge now. Prices can be a little lower over there than they are in the neighborhoods south and east of downtown, and there are several little "main street" districts with good restaurants, etc.

Hello KristinB. I personally like the areas of Cheeseman Park, City Park, Wash Park, etc. There are great places with access to running trails, grocery stores, bars, food, music venues. A farmers market takes place during the warmer months every weekend at East High School right near Cheeseman and down in Cherry Creek near the mall. Capitol Hill is to the west a bit, and is also a fun area, as are uptown just north, West Wash Park a bit further south, Baker, LoHi etc. in that area west of I-25. Enjoy!
