"Apartment communities and Convenience Store"

The street is composed mostly of apartment communities. There are three large complexes and one short term living facility where people rent on a weekly to monthly basis. The apartment complexes are clean overall and the landscaping is kept up well. Children living in these complexes attend Plano Independent School District. There is daily trash pick up for each complex. There is a convenience store on the northwest corner, where Lloyd Drive and Preston Road meet. Preston Road is extremely busy and the convenience store is often packed. The intersection of Lloyd Drive and Preston is a dangerous area. There is a street light, but there are frequent wrecks. The noise often increases on the weekend. The West end of the street ends in a circle, where the apartment complexes are. Some drivers use that circle to race their vehicles. Across the street from the convenience store is a donut shop and a dry cleaning service. There are also two restaurants nearby. One is The Filling Station, a place for good hamburgers, and the other is Obzeets, where they have live music on the weekends. It is a popular place at both lunch and dinner, so again the traffic is often heavy. There have been crimes reported in the areas of the apartment communities, from car jackings to apartment theft. These reports are not frequent.

"Still a Downhome Place"

South Dallas is one of my favourite places to go to when I go back home to Dallas, Texas to visit. One of the main attractions of course are the fairgrounds. Every year around fall the Texas State fair is something I hardly ever miss. It offers a lot of family fun and excitement.

At the fairgrounds in South Dallas you can also visit the Dallas Aquarium, the Music Hall, the Cotton Bowl Stadium and much more. It is the ideal place to take the family to and have a nice time.

As for food there are lots of different options. My favourite is the down home barbecue only available in this part of down.

All in all South is one of the best places I have ever lived. The people are great and I always felt right at home feel right at home. This part of town offer many shopping opportunities and the nightlife is awesome.

"Nice place for singles!"

Dallas Pkwy is a great place for the nightlife and for dining out. They have a ton of restaurants along this road. One of the best is a place called Picasso's at the corner of Dallas PKWY and Frankford Rd. I moved here in April 2008 and I was pleasantly surprised at the cost of living. However, recently their have been reported thefts and even a kidnapping at Valley View Mall which isn't too far from here so needless to say I would not recommend this area for people with children. I must say I do enjoy the fact that no matter what time of day or night I get hungry there is ALWAYS some place open and ready to serve! I will miss this place but it is getting a little too loud and congested for my taste!

"dallas is whatever you want it to be"

my dallas is very small. because of where i choose to live, near the city center, i rarely deal with any issues such as traffic, live within walking or a quick ride to hundreds of restaurants, retail shopping, bars, museums, parks, trails, and even a lake!

"Very busy and popular street in Dallas"

This street is a very long street that goes through a lot of the cities in the DFW area. But the main section of this street is in Addison. This 4-5 miles stretch of Belt Line in Addison is filled with restaurants, bars and clubs.

There are restaurants like Hooters, Chili's and Denny's but there are also higher end restaurants and lesser name restaurants like Clay Pit, Kobe Steakhouse, Fogo De Chao and much much more.

The atmosphere is very energetic at night as there are a lot of bar hoppers, party goers and just people who like to have a good time. During the day, the street is still very busy as there are a lot of companies located near the street.
