There are many great places to have a picnic in Downtown Cincinnati. One of the best is Sawyer Point Park along the riverfront. Sawyer Point offers a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown. The Banks also offers a nice green space for a picnic near the Ohio River. The newly renovated Washington Park may also be a good place for a picnic. Washington Park is located in the Over-The-Rhine area of Downtown Cincinnati. However, my favorite place to dine outdoors in Downtown is on Fountain Square. Fountain Square always has something going on and frequently features lunchtime concerts. The best activity, though, is the people watching. When I was a little girl, my grandma and I would ride the bus Downtown with our sack lunches and sit and people watch. It's still one of the best free activities the square offers.
