Just getting across the river can be a serious headache, especially during rush hour. You can avoid the Brent Spence bridge and Covington Kentucky's "Cut in the hill" traffic by taking 471 to I-275. Follow the highway signs to the airport. If you live in the northern or western suburbs, you might want to avoid the city altogether by taking I-275 West around the city to the airport.

Once you cross the river from Cincinnati into Northern KY, the commute is all highway driving on 71 South to 275 West which is approx a total of 14 miles. The "Cut in the Hill" is where you will find the most traffic during rush hours.
