Coyotes have been sighted in many different neighborhoods, but tend to be in ones near parks or with more wooded areas. Some communities have more problems with them, but they aren't seen very often mostly just heard at night. Your best bet is to make sure that your pets and small children are not left unattended in your yard, especially in the evening hours when coyotes are more apt to roam. Coyotes can also jump fences, so don't necessarily think having a fenced in yard will keep them at bay.
