Cincinnati has three art museums. There is the Cincinnati Art Museum in Mt. Adams which features art through the ages from ancient civilizations to contemporary movements. They offer a large permanent collection, as well as frequent visiting exhibits, often running more than one special exhibit at the same time. The Taft Museum of Art located in Downtown Cincinnati features a small collection of art that was donated, along with the building, to the City of Cincinnati by Anna Sinton Taft and her husband, Charles Phelps Taft. The Taft Museum of Art is located on the eastern side of Downtown Cincinnati at Lytle Park. The third art museum is the Contemporary Art Center at the corner of Sixth and Walnut in Downtown Cincinnati. The CAC is Cincinnati's modern art museum. The CAC does not have a permanent collection, so they have frequently changing visiting exhibitions.
