There are a number of options in Cincinnati for art classes for kids under 12. There is a Michael's in Oakley on Paxton Avenue that offers a variety of kids art classes for children under 12. The Art Academy of Cincinnati located in Over-The-Rhine offers community education classes. Among those classes are a summer camp for kids ages 5-12. Camp Art Academy offers six different one week camps in June and July; children can take classes in the morning, afternoon, or both. Each week's offering of classes is unique and the school even offers before and after care for an additional fee. If you want to head out to Montgomery to My Little Red Haus, children as young as four can take art classes. My Little Red Haus offers a variety of children's art classes, as well as birthday parties, private art classes, and adult classes. The Kennedy Heights Arts Center offers a Summer Art Camp for kids 5-15 and a variety of youth art classes and programs throughout the year. You also might want to look into local community centers as they often offer a variety of activities for kids of all ages.
