Free Stuff in Chicago

I love free stuff. But I’ve also learned that you get what you pay for, and sometimes “free” (and cheap) has strings attached. That said, I’m starting to like this new (to me) site called “Free Things To Do In Chicago” at http://chicagofree.info/ . I came across them through my Facebook page. At first, they seemed to be having a lot of problems with site – nasty viruses and such. But for the past 2-3 months that I have been paying attention to their postings on FB, I really like what I’m seeing there. The listings seem to cover everything imaginable and beyond! Most are free or discounted, most are in Chicago but they do have info on suburban events/venues. My only dislike of the site is that it is filled with ads. But hey, without them access to the site and their plethora of information wouldn’t be free. And there you have it – even free information is not exactly free.

There’s never a shortage of things to do in Chicago. Nice to find that so many of them are free at some time or another.
