Van Dyke Ave, Sterling Heights

Van Dyke Avenue is a long street that stretches from downtown Detroit, through the northern suburbs and actually continues very far north. In downtown Detroit, this is a rundown street, with a lot of closed businesses. It doesn't feel like a very safe area. As you continue north, it becomes more suburban, but the road itself is not in very good shape. It contains many large potholes, which make driving very unpleasant in some areas. The farther north you travel, the better the road becomes, but in suburban Detroit, I would only travel this road to visit a business located on this road.
