Tri-Taylor move in August 2020

I am moving here in August 2020, is this a good safe area? I want to be close to work at the medical center to be near my three dogs and come home to let them in and out. Is it safe to walk around be out past 10? I know I sound like a hick but I have never lived in a major city and everyone I ask about this area says it is up and coming but still high crime. Ugh it is creating such anxiety. I am male 39 yo white guy that is not afraid of diversity. I am looking at a place on W Fillmore St.
