"Cherokee Triangle is a Piece of Highlands History"

Like many neighborhoods in the Original Highlands, the Cherokee Triangle is beautiful. Historically it is one of the first "suburbs" of Louisville, developed in the late 1800s. You don't really see it as a suburb these days though. All the conveniences of The Highlands and easy access to downtown and the waterfront makes this place a gem just outside of Downtown Louisville. Cherokee Parkway runs as a main thoroughfare connecting Bardstown Rd and I-64. Willow Park, a quaint little area on the parkway is home to a summer concert series and family fun for all ages! Living in one of these large, historic homes also means that you are knocking on the door to Cherokee Park. Each year before the Kentucky Derby, Cherokee Parkway and The Cherokee Triangle Association host The Cherokee Triangle Art Fair ( one of my favorite times of year). This is a 3-day juried art fair where you can buy all sorts of cool stuff or just mingle with the artists and neighbors. This piece of history has tons to offer!
