I couldn't find a comprehensive Cost of Living Index for Dutchess County for 2012. However, I did find a city by city comparison which indicates that Red Hook is more expensive that Poughkeepsie, Kingston and Hyde Park but less expensive than Wappingers. It is important to emphasize that the differences are very small percentages and most of it is the impact of housing cost; categories such as food and transportation score identically.
