Are there many career opportunities in Red Hook?

There are some, not a lot. Just to get an idea of some hard numbers, I searched job search engines for listings in Red Hook, and it turned up several dozen openings (about 60). Now obviously this isn't necessarily an exhaustive list, but it does tell you that opportunity is pretty limited here. Compare this to Poughkeepsie which came back with well over a thousand job listings, for purposes of comparison.

I would imagine that a good many Red Hook residents commute to either the Kingston area or the Poughkeepsie area, just based on the amount of opportunities that exist there relative to the rest of the area.
