How would you rate Paws Place- the doggie park in Ward Acres?

I adopted a pooch this summer, and joined the park, and LOVE it! I follow my little one around the park, letting him do his thing (lots of sniffing), playing, and running, while I just follow and appreciate nature. A treat for us both, and always dog lovers there (of course) so nice people to chat and exchange thoughts with. I give it a 9 - not a 10 as some of the owners do not scoop the poop!

Excellent. Nice group of dog owners. They watch their dogs and do not allow their dog to play rough. It is free for New Rochelle resident. I live in Scarsdale andI have to buy a $100 permit--effective January 1 for a year. You must have a dog license issued by your town and proof of rabies vaccine. Each member of the household must have a photo id for Ward Park but the cost is free after the first $100 is paid. The permit is purchased from the New Rochelle Municipal hall, Recreation Dept. We take our Siberian Husky to Ward Park at least 5 times a week.. Makes for a content dog and a peaceful home.
