Merced Ave, Forest Hill Extension

Merced Avenue is a quiet, well-maintained residential street in the south of the city, nestled in the middle of the secluded Forest Hill neighborhood. The street is completely residential, and almost everything is single family homes, from middle-class residences to large mansion-like structures. The street is always clean and quiet, and there are mostly families living along its length, with children of many different ages. Despite its appearance Merced is actually quite close to transportation, being close to several main streets (but not close enough to hear traffic or related noise) and only a few blocks away from Forest Hill Station, a public transportation hub. There are a few restaurants and a corner store a block over, and a roughly ten minute walk away is the commercial street of West Portal, with a variety of restaurants (include the legendary West Portal Sub sandwich place), a movie theater, and some boutique shopping.
