Living at 8th and Fulton (next to Golden Gate Park), how difficult is it to find street parking?

I will need a car intermittently but will not be driving it every day. Based on the SF resident parking map, I will not be eligible for an N permit at that address.

It will probably be nowhere near as bad as if you lived in North Beach or Castro where even with a parking permit finding a place after 6 pm on a weekend is near impossible. You may have hunt for a place and hike a coupl of blocks but the farther west you go the easier it should be.

My main concerns would be:

1. Forgetting about street cleaning day and getting tickets (you mentioned you don't drive too much).
2. Having your car burglarized.

Check out this website: https://www.crimereports.com/

According to it,in the last 6 months there have been 184 car break ins and thefts in the Inner Richmond neighborhood in the last 6 months. So there is a good chance you will have your car broken into if you leave anything in it that would attract theft. (Also, hopefully you don't drive a really nice car--if you do consider a garage.)

Anyway, good luck. I am sure it will probably be fine.
