"Hostel for young international visitors"

Weirdly, there’s a hostel on this street. This is odd because the surrounding neighborhood is a bit old, and hostels tend to interest only young travelers. For those strictly on a sight-seeing tour of museums, it’s a good location because so many are close by (The Met, The Guggenheim, The Whitney Museum, and The International Center of Photography).

"Better towards 5th Avenue, obviously"

The apartments between Madison and 5th are seriously beautiful. Lots of stoops that teenage girls from Hunter love to smoke on. They're not that annoying as long as you tell them to pick up their butts. Hunter College High School is between Madison and Park, and seems to always be under construction, so their scaffolding is an eyesore. Otherwise, good for a quiet existence on the snooty Upper East Side. (Be prepared for 16 year olds with bags that cost more than you make in a week.)

"A beautiful and safe street, but a lot of noise!"

E 94th St is a beautiful street with a lot of nice apartments. Overall the streets and sidewalks are clean, and there are plenty of green trees and plants. My only complaint is the amount of noise! There is not a lot of traffic, but noises from other streets carry over!

AdamS
AdamS Hey jmeeter,

Thanks for the review! You get noise from other streets? Must be very loud where you are.

You are also so close to Central Park, very lucky, I love walking through there!

mikemora I don't think I could get used to the noise but I envy your ability to dine in New York daily!
