There is a new Montessori charter, a DPS School of Choice, NE just off 45th and Peoria, currently enrolling for K-3 (applications by 1/31/13) that offers a hands-on, multi-year classroom and an authentic Montessori curriculum that encourages individuality, creative thought and passionate learning--without textbooks or homework! These kids enjoy small classes, more attention and generally score better on the Colorado standardized state tests than their traditional counterparts. It's a great program and my kids are thriving there. Very convenient to Stapleton, Green Valley Ranch, Northfield, DIA, the Anschutz Medical Campus, Park Hill and City Park.
