"Nice Park, Terrible Construction"

For a few years, there has been construction on Clove Road and is it TERRIBLE! I do my best to avoid driving on this road as much as possible. It is unfortunate that the construction is taking so long because Clove is a road that connects many different areas.

However, Clove Lakes Park, which is located between Victory Blvd and Forest Avenue is great for jogging/hiking/biking/rollerblading trails. It also holds Staten Island's ice skating rink, a few baseball fields, nice playground equipment. Generally, it is just a great park.

"Be Careful Here- The Good and the Bad"

While Clove Road offers lots of retailers and conveniences, there are a lot of drawbacks to this road as well. First off all, there is a tremendous amount of construction going on and the traffic is horrible. Also, the road is in terrible shape and has a lot of twists and turns. With that said, the road sports a lot of beautiful parks and golf clubs as well as office, restaurants and shops.

"Clove Road's Woes"

Clove Road is an integral connector between the North Shore and the SI Expressway and Hylan Boulevard. Its richest feature is the stretch along Clove Lakes Park. It is both scenic and airy. However, this is its only saving grace. The North Shore section adjacent to Richmond Terrace is somewhat deteriorating. While the section adjacent to the Expressway is seemingly always under construction. The stretch to Hylan Boulevard does little to make up for this set of circumstances.

Overall, a drive along the street can be exhilarating, to say the least. But it gets only two stars for living.
