"Brannan is centrally located in SOMA"

Brannan Street has a lot to offer in SOMA. It's close to the AT&T ballpark, plus it has a lot of other cool stuff from 1st to 9th street. There are quite a number of lofts and start-ups along Brannan. But there are also some great places to grab a bite to eat, like Coco 500, Koh Samui & the Monkey and Brickhouse Cafe.

It's a bit busy, especially during rush hour, because a lot of folks take it to go to the bridge or to get on the 101 freeway at 4th & King St. At night, it's not so bad, unless there is baseball game. In terms of safety, it's just like any other city. Pretty well lit in most areas, but dark a few shady spots down by 2nd. Hard to find a cab on Brannan, best bet is to go up to 3rd or 4th. But then there's always the bus (MUNI) if you happen to have $2 on you.

In terms of health and fitness there is the San Francisco Tennis Club and if you are into biking, there's Performance bicycle shop to get all of your bicycle road trip needs.

No real place to get any retail therapy but definitely a few places to satiate your inner omnivore.

"A Busy Street Near AT&T Park"

Brannan Street is definitely one of the busiest streets in San Francisco, aside from Market Street that is. Brannan Street is near AT&T Park where the San Francisco Giants are home to, some traffic on Brannan Street comes from the fans going to the games. But traffic also comes from the several freeway entrances that Brannan Street leads to as it hosts mildly to severe traffic during rush hours. Brannan Street is also very close to the pier, great place for tourists. Other than the traffic on Brannan Street, there is a lot of life on this long road. There’s great music and food on this street. I’d also like to point out that this street has a lot of cracks and potholes.

"Fresh Music, Emerging Artists"

Although Giants Stadium dominates this area, there is more to see on this busy street. San Francisco Open Studios is an annual program, usually occurring sometime in October, when hundreds of local musical artists and performers from all over the city host free shows at the studios. Great way to get a taste of the local music scene, and the independent musical industry that California as a state is renowned for. Many successful artists start here, so you may even get a sneak peak of future fame!!

"Busy street close to AT&T Park especially during game days"

Brannan Street is a fairly short street on the eastern waterfront of San Francisco. It is a fairly busy street especially because the street is very close to AT&T Park, the home of the San Francisco Giants and on days where there is a game happening, this street can get pretty packed with lots of traffic ensuing. This street is filled with parking lots, bars, and restaurants. On game days expect to find a large rowdy crowd on Brannan.

There is a Brannan Street MUNI stop at the end of the street. But generally public transportation on Brannan is minimal. There is also a large tennis court facility on Brannan Street, I personally have not played on it, but I’ve heard it’s pretty nice.
