"Home of the Reliant Stadium and Arena"

Home of the Reliant Stadium, the Reliant Astrodome, and the Reliant Arena, the Astrodome area of Houston, Texas is growing rapidly. With venues packed year round, this area always has something to look forward to whether it is the Houston Rodeo, Circus, or Texans football game.

Nestled inside the 610 Loop, West of Hwy 288, and South of the 59 SW Freeway is where you will find the Astrodome area. Old Spanish Trail, Almeda Road, and Holly Hall are some of the main streets. Most commuters use personal vehicles, but more and more you are finding and increase in the usage of the Metro Light Rail which runs in this location. The Metro Bus runs here as well, and during special events you will see a variety of transportation from large buses to limousines.

Since this area is very close to the Houston Medical Center, there are a variety of high rise condos and apartment buildings that can be found here. The nightlife scene is becoming more popular as fans leave the Reliant area and look for after parties, and restaurants are booming.

"Astrodome, Houston"

The Astrodome neighborhood is one of the unique portions of the city of Houston. It has existed for quite some time and offers less urban locations. The Astrodome itself is more than a neighborhood. It is a part of the popular Reliant Park. This area hosts a number of events, shows, and concerts throughout the year. You will find apartment complexes in this area to choose from. There are also residential communities here. The Astrodome neighborhood has access to some of Houston’s major roadways. These include the South 610 Loop, State Road 288, and State Highway 90. These roads provide visitors and residents with easy transportation to other parts of the city.

You will find a number of busy streets in the Astrodome area. Some of these are Alameda Road, Holmes Road, and South Main Street. These are far stretching streets to use in this area. Some of the nearby communities to the Astrodome are Gridiron and Braeswood. This neighborhood can also be accessed through public transportation. You will find Metro and train routes near this area. There are hotels and restaurants throughout this area. It lacks some of the more modern shopping centers and malls. Many of these, however, are within a short distance from the Astrodome location.

"Reliant Stadium Area!"

Well, its not really the Astrodome anymore. Reliant Stadium is the newer arena where the Texas play footbal. The Astrodome is still there, but no longer in use. This is a great palce to visit for those who like sports or the rodeo. Rodeo Houston happens here every year between February and the middle of March. Its a great even that I would recommend visitors come to see!
