"Safe Keeper of the History of Birmingham"

If you are looking to experience some of the history of Birmingham, then 1st Avenue North is the place to be. 1st Avenue North runs right through the heart of downtown Birmingham. You will find some of Birmingham's oldest skyscrapers and buildings here. You will also find Sloss Furnaces located just off of 1st Avenue North, which is one of Birmingham's oldest and most cherished landmarks of the Iron industry.
