Old Post Office Pavillion will be undergoing a major change soon and will be converted into a hotel. My fave shopping is thrift and consignment. I advise you check out:

Frugalista- on the corner of Newton and Mount Pleasant streets in Mount Pleasant, DC. They have some GREAT finds there! The occasional shoe sale and it's not a place where you have to dig for a cool find. They have the racks arranged by brand. You will find stuff by Banana Republic, Gap, Ann Taylor, etc. They have a decent selection of men's clothing too

Secondi- located on Connecticut Ave right above Starbucks. If you're not familiar with how the pricing works with consignment, an item will stay on the rack and go lower in price every two weeks or according to date. I saw two Diane Von Furstenberg dresses priced as low as 70 bucks once!
