"Nice homes, great shopping, but growing fast traffic-wise"

I am on Stone Oak Parkway often because that is where my home building company builds most of our homes. The homes there are all very nice, the shopping and medical care are excellent (a Baptist Hospital branch is actually on Stone Oak Parkway), and the street offers easy, straight access to Highway 281 and Highway 1604. However, the area is growing very rapidly, and traffic gets more and more congested every single day.

"Nice Area, but growing quickly and experiencing some traffic issues"

Stone Oak Parkway used to be a small road on the North side of town. Now, that area has exploded and Stone Oak has seen a lot of construction in the last few years. It is nicely situated and has MANY new residential areas as well as medical (North Central Baptist Hospital), shopping and resturants. It does have its downside, though. Since it is so close to 281 and 1604 and has so many new neighborhoods, traffic has become increasingly worse where it can take an hour to go a couple of miles. In recent years, San Antonio has discussed making some of the highways toll roads, if this happens, then you can expect Stone Oak to become even more crowded.

"Up-and-coming suburb with lots of amenities"

Stone Oak used to be in the middle of nowhere, but now it is growing, growing, growing! Lots of nice new houses close to shopping, schools, and, most importantly, a great hospital. Easy to get to Hwy 281 or Loop 1604. Lots of upscale restaurants of all types... Mexican, Sushi, Thai, Chinese. They just opened up a huge new shopping center at 281 and Stone Oak that has all the retail you'll ever need. Plus there are tons of places to shop up and down 1604. Nice place for families or retirees who need to be close to medical facilities.
