"Safe City in the OC"

Located on the Saddle back Valley in southern Orange County, Mission Viejo is widely known for being a safe city for all their residents and visitors. A Morgan Quitno survey taken in 2007 deemed that Mission Viejo was the safest city in the whole of the United States. In 2009, CQ Press named Mission Viejo the safest city in California and the third safest city in the US.

Mission Viejo is widely known for being one of the largest planned cities that aimed to provide their people with everything they need to lead a good suburban life. This city has many large homes for single families and condominiums that provide ample housing opportunities for their growing population. They also have some community colleges that serve the tertiary educational needs of their community and also have a great mall for their shopping needs.

Mission Viejo also has excellent medical services and is the home to the largest Orange County Hospital – the Mission Hospital. This facility is also one of the places to find the Children’s Hospital of Orange County. This city is served by two school districts – the Capistrano Unified and the Saddleback Unified School Districts. They also have adult schools and continuation institutions. Mission Viejo is also home to the Saddleback College and is located very near some major tertiary educational institutions such as the University of California, Irvine, Chapman University, Soka University of America and the California State University, Fullerton.

The people of Mission Viejo can enjoy some recreational fun at the newly revamped Normal P. Murry Community and Senior Center. Mission Viejo is also home to 3 golf courses, and an artificial lake, where one could enjoy many activities like boating and swimming. This city organizes many fun events such as family nights and organizes events like car washes that unites the community for a worthy cause.
