"Nice Main Drag"
Located just off of Highway 17, near Santa Cruz, and running almost directly parallel, Scotts Valley Drive is the main drag in this suburban town near the beach. Scotts Valley is an idyllic place to live, in many ways, with beaches, redwoods, hiking, mountain biking, surfing, and several great cities all located nearby. The town itself is a lovely suburb with a smattering of ethnic food selections, most of which are located on Scotts Valley Drive, the main drag.
Yamamori Sushi is just one of the many examples of eateries that can be found here. The sushi is fairly good and the atmosphere is low-key, reflective of the street and the town. Those who like more traditional chain restaurants can rest assured that Starbuck's and Wendy's are not far. This street also happens to be where most of the town's local businesses are located. Despite the central location, the traffic here is not horrific, although proximity to Highway 17 can cause some backup from time to time.
Overall, this is a nice spot, albeit a bit expensive. It may not be the most exciting town in the world, but an array of ethnic restaurants and nightlife in nearby Santa Cruz help to make this an even more desirable location.
