"Seems grungier than it actually is"
The homes and apartment buildings on Roseberg Ave. S. look slightly run down and cheap, but don't let the looks fool you. Housing costs are fairly average for this area, though not very many are for sale, so people must like living on this street. The road is typically used only by local residents, so traffic is minimal. Residents can often be seen out on the sidewalks and streets, though they don't tend to be very outgoing or friendly. Several local businesses along Des Moines Memorial Dr., which parallells Roseberg Ave., and north on S. 120th offer convenient shopping and banking. The street is green and heavily treed, like most residential streets in Seattle. The further north you go on this street, the greener it gets (and the safer and friendlier). At the south end of the street, North SeaTac Park offers a playground and several sports fields for kids, and long paved walking trails for adults. The street is directly under the flight path for SeaTac airport, which can be distracting at times.
