If you can afford them, the Walkingstick neighborhood in Pueblo is lovely and very close to the school; and the homes around Liberty Point in Pueblo West are equally affluent. However, if you're looking for something a little cheaper, I'd suggest the neighborhoods just off Bonforte or Jerry Murphy. If you stay within a two mile radius of CSU, these streets are lined with trees, pet friendly, and policed by a local "neighborhood watch", so they rarely have any complaints about noise. I'd also explore the area around Goodnight Ave, by the city park. Goodnight is home to both a golf and frisbee golf course, the Pueblo Zoo, and a dog park; so if you can find a good home in this area, you're set for kid-friendly weekend activities.
