It has a very good record of success for it's high school graduates(it moved down from Katonah a couple years ago) and the tuition is quite reasonable. There's also the Westchester Muslim Center and the Fortress Christian Academy. It's unfortunate that there are no general private schools because the public schools in Mount Vernon need serious help, but these schools are good for those with religious backgrounds wanting their kids to have a specialized education.
