Marine View Dr, Fauntleroy

With homes and trees on one side and Puget Sound on the other, driving down Marine View Drive S. is a treat. The area offers some historical-looking landmarks, a park on the beach and a peaceful place to live. The street is a pride of the area, so it's subject to detours and road closures due to construction maintenance, but the people are friendly and the views are spectacular. Shops and restaurants are close by in Des Moines and Burien, but it's far enough away to provide peace and quiet to its residents. Homes are fairly inexpensive by Seattle standards, though view homes are a little more pricey. Neighbors are friendly and it's definitely a place you can let your kids play outside.
