What's the best street in NYC?

What does everyone think? Personally I love Christoper St in the village. If money were not an issue where would you live?

I think it's too difficult to say conclusively what the best street is. I live in the East Village and love it, obviously not as exclusive as some other areas but it's great for my husband and I.

Ah to dream! Then it would be around Central Park West, one of the classic apartments like the San Remo or Dakota.

In Tribeca, N. Moore St. $10 million + lofts would be amazing.

Stone Street, for sure! I love it. Here's the link:

It's got some of the best bars and restaurants in all of NYC

Not a street but an avenue - I'd love to live on 5th between 59th and 97th Sts - right on the park!

East Village, 14th St. Union Square.

This street is amazing because you can find almost every "group" of people here. All the surrounding stores tailor to everyones needs! Especially since Union Square is such a historic area, and still is! Just walking by you can still hear people protesting about one thing or another. They hold big events such as the "Pillow fight!" That day I had to dodge the mass of people with pillows and "FREE HUG" signs on my way to Whole Foods. It is a little ridiculous that they have 3 Starbucks facing each other including the one in Barnes and Noble but I guess people just need their coffee!

@msQT I've seen the "Free Hug" guy! Wasn't ever tempted to take him up on his offer, though. The free advice guy is waaay cuter. Him I could go for.

I got a free hug in front of Whole Foods in Columbus Circle. I'd been having a bad day (boy trouble, of course...) and was very glad that SOMEBODY wanted to hug me...

I'm gonna say Perry Street. It's just so pretty!

Bond Street for me. Or Crosby Street. Huge industrial lofts. Major windows.

@JenMac Perry Street is lovely.. though I also like Irving Place which lies between E17th and E18th Streets.

Egads! I would hate to live around Union Square. Way too many tourists and college riffraff.
I have to say, I wouldn't mind living on 5th with a view of the park, either. That would be my second choice next to Perry St.

I think I agree with ajadedidealist that the first thing that comes to mind when I think best street in NYC is 5th Ave on the Upper East Side...
