Ha, I failed so badly! And those people from Park Slope really threw me off - you'd think I'd know what the yuppies in my own neighborhood look like!

It looks like I need to get out more. You are not by yourself NeverSleeps. I didn't do well at all. I got about half right.

Dude, I didn't do so hot either; and, I feel like we were cheated. I'm in the West Village nearly every day and I RARELY see people that hipster. It's like they found the only three people in that neighborhood who wear mismatched spandex and fake fur.

@ ajadeidealist No way! You cheated! No way you scored that high! JenMac and NeverSleeps are right: they were deliberately trying to throw people off.

Yeah, no way ajadeidealist! Some of those pictures were really tricky. I think I did better than half, but definitely under 80%.

The West Village ones were the trickiest, I thought

I just thought everyone was from Brooklyn. I thought that I must need to get into the city more often, until DBlack pointed out that they were deliberately trying to throw people off. Now it's so obvious. Like you would really expect the uber-hipster looking dude in the button down sweater to be based in anywhere besides Williamsburg.

@everyone I didn't do too well either.. how the hell can you tell by the clothes alone?..its not as if folks in NYC dress that distinctively ..

@uptowngirl Maybe it's not only the clothes but the overall look. Let's think back to the Brooklyn-Manhattan comparison thread, where we learned that Manhattanites don't get laid too often? My strategy would be look for the prim ones with tension around their eyes, expensive handbags, and flawless shoes. In all those categories Brooklynites would be more relaxed. Also, among my circle of friends, the ones due for a haircut are always from Brooklyn, as opposed to Manhattanites who are more rigorous about the details.

@DBlack You may be right, but they designed that test to fool you... I guess Manhattanites aren't always so tense, and that Brooklynites aren't always so laid back. Oh well.

@DBlack the Brooklynites that I know are just as driven, tense and polished as the Manhattanites that I know..maybe I just don't read people as well as others in this forum...

@Everybody: Most test like was taken online are just for publicity. The people who create them just want you to take it so you will get to know the person or what he/she sells. Perhaps this contest was not the same, but nevertheless, they are mostly rigged. It is set up that way on purpose. When I worked in IT as a computer specialist, I had to design those test to be set up online. You are basically trying to beat a pre-programmed computer game.

@uptowngirl To be fair, I know quite a few driven and polished Brooklynites as well. And I know some pretty laid back kids living in Manhattan. So the stereotype doesn't always hold!
