Limited edition sneakers? They're pushing their luck. Sneakers do not need to be limited edition. There are enough oppressed workers in third world countries turning out their millions of sneakers for this to seem like the marketing ploy that it is.

@Uraniumfish Doesn't Nike often have limited edition series? Seems like a Nike marketing staple.

@everyone I hate to get on the Nike train, since they were famous for exploiting workers years back (not sure what their standards are like now), but I really like the purple Brooklyn shoes. I am such a consuuumer. But seeing as how I am not headed to get any right now, it looks like I'll either have to get them on ebay or not at all.

Those don't look very original, I have to say. They look like old school Nike kicks! I'm not too into sneakers, but I think they would look adorable on a 12-year-old.

I don't get the sneaker thing either. It's just more of the same to me. And, it's kind of weird to me when guys own like 50 pairs of different colored sneakers. Some of the combinations are downright seizure inducing and it's just not horribly manly in my opinion.

And I'm really not a fan of the "this shade of orange on my sneakers matches the exact shade of orange on my ball cap" look either. But that's just me.

@Everybody I don't particularly like wearing sneakers and only ever wear them to the gym. I dont get women who love wearing sneakers and wear them all the time.. I happen to know two ex-tomboys who do.

Are we talking trainers here or like chucks? I don't get the trainers on girls thing but I wear my chucks almost every day.

@JenMac Trainers the regular kind made by Reebok, New Balance.. these two friends of mine seem to wear them everywhere, granted that they don't suffer from plantar fasciitis like I do because of my myriad heels and wedges but sometimes those sneakers are just inappropriate.

I don't wear sneakers except at the gym and I admit I don't look twice at men who do. Real men wear real shoes, ya know?

I don't even own sneakers! I owned one supercheap pair for a few years, but they got gross and I ended up tossing them in the bin! But I'll buy some when I start working out! You know...eventually...

Ha... I don't mind a guy in the causal hip-looking kind of sneakers. But a dude in running shoes who is not running? That's not hot. I guess I wouldn't rule him out, though. Unless it's the only pair of shoes he owns.
