"Nice Suburban Area"

I was just driving down this street, but its really nice. The houses are amazing and it seems like a nice place for a family. The University of New Mexico is extremely close and an elementary school is right at the end of the street. At the other end is a cute little park. I'd say this would be the perfect street for a family with young kids

"Notre Dame NE"

This is a great street for families as well as professionals working at area hospitals, the University of New Mexico UNM), and downtown Albuquerque. Its location in the UNM area is within minutes of the main hub of shopping, health care, and city government. An elementary school (Manzano) is two blocks away, a city park runs the length of the street, and the street dead-ends in a cul-de-sac so there is no through traffic (great for kids playing). Most of the homes were built in the 60's and 70's and reflect a more modern style than the ubiquitous "adobe" style popular in the 50's. Homeowners take pride in their properties and all are well maintained (with one or two minor exceptions). Neighbors are very friendly and are involved in the welfare of the street and adjacent neighborhood through an active neighborhood association (not a mandatory "homeowners association"). Several residents are currently ('07) upgrading and remodeling their homes.
The value of this street and area is often overlooked because it isn't new...however, the quality of the homes, the square footage for the price, and the established landscaping provide a superior value when compared to newer subdivisions in the northeast section of the city (there isn't the constant noise and mess of under-construction subdivisions and the shade trees and lawns provide a 'finished' look that is very appealing).
Some may take issue with the street's proximity to the freeway (I-40) but a large sound wall and the city park buffer most of the highway noise.
Kids can walk to the elementary school easily: the middle school (Jefferson) is farther but 'walkable'. Wild Oats grocery (soon to be Whole Foods) is a long block away. K-Mart, several other large grocery stores, a convenience store, and gas stations are in the same area. Access to downtown, uptown (shopping malls), hospitals (three in the area), and the University is very easy (literally a few minutes away)...residents avoid traffic and delays.
Excellent restaurants and unique shopping are very close by in the Knob Hill area (an area somewhat comparable to Mill Street in Tempe/Phoenix). With the University so close there are many activities and continuing education programs within reach of a short bike ride.
