"Very affordable condos in an older private neighborhood"

Hanover Drive is a quiet street which is very nice. These condo units were built in the mid 1970's by National Homes. The complex is nicely landscaped and the mature trees are a nice feature. No club house or pool. HOA fees are a little high due to the aging nature of the units, but still not bad at all considering we do not have to worry about landscaping, mowing, or upkeep issues. They are always striving to make improvements, yet work to keep homeowner's fees within reason. This is a pet friendly community, a great place to walk your dog as so many residents here do. The complex is on a single street which ends with a landscaped cul de sac, and offers a bit more security and privacy than many neighborhoods. The units are approximately 1000 square feet each and each have two bedrooms. The surrounding neighborhood outside the complex is mainly 1970's family homes and various businesses. Singles, couples, and retired folks mainly reside here. It is very affordable housing, and is a fairly good value for what you get. Some units have been nicely updated on the inside by past and current owners. The neighborhood is actually a lot nicer and safer than many neighborhoods that consist of such affordable housing. There is a nice walking path that goes to an inspiring city park, complete with a pond, walking paths, and a swimming pool. Shopping and Dining available within minutes of the complex. Only five minutes to the mall, big box stores, and small shops. Very easy access to Downtown with lots of things to do on Main Street and one can walk across the pedestrian bridge over the river to West Lafayette where you will find Wabash Landings with shops, restaurants, movies, and a Hilton hotel, plus you will find a park and more walking paths there by the river. Lafayette has a fairly good offering of things to do and see. Purdue University is only 4 miles and easy to travel to. The complex is on a bus line. Close to WalMart and all the new businesses on 350 South. Living here places you close to all the important things in town.
