"Gulfton Ghetto"

Gulfton is full of affordable crowded apartment complexes. this area is known to be a hotspot for high crime rate such as aggravated assault and murder. even though 90% of gulfton is full of hardworking caring people, the rest of the minority cause havoc in the streets. the gulfton area resides 2 of the most dangerous gangs in houston ms 13 and west side cholos. it still is a fun place to go with friendsnot the best place to live.

"Gulfton is a good representation of Southwest Houston"

Gulfton is a great place for college grads and young couples moving out. crime rate is just like most neighborhoods in southwest. the only thing you need to be cautious of is gang violence and drugs. if you mind your business then you should be fine in the hood!

"Dirty Flea Market Central"

The Gulfton area of Houston is located just outside of the 610 Loop, near 59 – The Southwest Freeway. Main roads traveled in this neighborhood area Chimney Rock Road, Renwick Drive, and Gulfton Drive. Housing here is very affordable, and you can find low rent homes and apartments in a variety of subdivisions.

The Gulfton area is primarily Hispanic in population, and is an older – established part of Houston. Many residents here are immigrants from Mexico. You will find a variety of strip centers and restaurants dedicated to the Hispanic community, as well as a flea market. Students living here will attend Houston ISD, but in this particular community there is a high dropout and truancy rate. The crime rate in this area is particularly high as well. Once you cross over to the Bellaire area a short drive away, the scenery seems to improve drastically. This is not a place I would choose to reside.

"Gulfton, Houston"

Gulfton is one of the traditional neighborhoods in the Houston area. This location is an older community, which is predominately a Hispanic location. Gulfton is situated in the southwest portion of Houston. Here you will find a number of subdivisions and apartment complexes. West Moreland Farms is one of these great communities in Gulfton. The areas proximity to State Highway 59 makes it very convenient. Some of the popular locations in this neighborhood include Gulfton Street, Rampart Street, and Chimney Rock. Chimney Rock is one of the long roads in Houston, which stretches from one portion of the city to another. Gulfton offers visitors restaurants and shopping options. It is only ten minutes from the great downtown area. This is a good benefit to this neighborhood. It is also near Bellaire, which is a popular section in Houston. This is a busy urban area to visit and to live in. Gulfton is one of the dated family neighborhoods in the area. It doesn’t have as much to offer as some of the newer communities in Houston. This area is not exactly a tourist attraction in the city. It is near most anything else that you are interested in seeing in Houston.
