Greenwich is a really cool neighborhood but it's not necessarily for everyone. It's pretty overrun with NYU students so the streets are quite loud, dirty and boisterous at night. It's also insanely expensive considering that most of the buildings are old so they house tiny apartments with no elevator. It has a lot of character and there is a ton to do as far as food and entertainment. But, you will never not be surrounded by noise and people living here. And, for the price, I, personally, don't think it's worth it. But, really young people love it here. It is a great neighborhood with a ton of history and culture. . . just not much space.
