Walk the Block Beautiful: 19th between Irving and 3rd
Walk around the park (you can't get in without a key except on Christmas Day) and check out the gorgeous historical homes - 34 Gram Park East was home to Margaret Hamilton, 36 was John Barrymore's house and 16 Gram Park South is where famous actor (and John Wilkes' brother) Edwin Booth lived.
Gramercy Tavern is one of my favorite restaurants in New York. It is just ridiculously cool. But, it's very expensive so even just going for a drink is a pretty good time.
