A personal favorite of mine for snowshowing is just minutes from my home. Squaw Pass, the road leading to Mount Evans from Highway 74, features an open space meadow approximatley 6 miles from Highway 74. There is great parking access and plenty of room to explore in the open meadow. For a higher elevation and steeper terrain, coninute West on Highway 103 (Squaw Pass) towards Mount Evans. There are several pull outs and you will see many people snowshoeing in the winter.
